Completely free-standing cranes are also called portal cranes. These cranes travel along rails located on or in the floor. Such cranes are commonly used outdoors, when the hall’s construction is not suited for installing a suspended crane track.
There is also an intermediate version, the so-called semi-portal crane, where 1 side runs along a suspended rail and the other side is fitted with a column and runs along floor-based rails.
Portal cranes do not fall into the "standard crane” category and are tailor-made projects specifically designed for you.
