Strategic partnership strengthens position in lifting and drive technology

Elmec B.V. has reached a new milestone in its history. As of today, Elmec is officially a partner and distributor of DEMAG Cranes & Components. With this partnership, both companies further strengthen their position within the lifting and drive technology market in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The collaboration marks an important strategic step and highlights the development Elmec has undergone over the past decades: from a small consultancy firm to a leading specialist in engineering, service, overhaul and spare parts supply for the industry.

Trust, expertise and a shared vision

The official signing took place during a festive gathering at Elmec. The long-standing cooperation was officially celebrated with traditional Limburg pie and a glass of champagne.

“A visit to Elmec is not complete without Limburg pie. Since this is a special occasion, we naturally celebrated it together with a toast,” said Wim Hermans, CEO of KIS Group.

According to DEMAG, choosing Elmec as an official distributor was a logical step. The partnership is built on years of mutual cooperation, trust and technical expertise.
René Schlieker, Vice President DEMAG Distribution, visited Elmec for the first time: “I am looking forward to today. It is a very valuable addition for DEMAG to have Elmec as an official distributor.”

Andreas Hambrock and Christian Wenzel from DEMAG also emphasized the warm welcome and the open discussions about the future: “At Elmec, we are always warmly welcomed. There was not only time for the formalities, but also to discuss strategic plans together. This is truly a partnership we are entering into together.”

More than 15,000 DEMAG parts directly available

With the official partner status, Elmec is able to serve customers even better than before. Elmec has more than 15,000 DEMAG parts in stock, directly available through the webshop www.elmec.shop or via personal technical advice from specialists.

With this, Elmec responds to an important need within the industry: fast availability of high-quality parts combined with specialist support. In production environments where downtime directly impacts continuity and profitability, speed is essential.

Thanks to the close cooperation with DEMAG, technical knowledge within Elmec also remains continuously up to date. Employees regularly attend training courses and educational programs, ensuring customers benefit from the latest expertise regarding new products and developments.

New growth phase within KIS Group

The official DEMAG partner status coincides with a new growth phase for Elmec. Since September 2025, the company has been part of KIS Group, which is focused on further developing a leading Northern European platform for inspection, service and maintenance of lifting equipment. Elmec is a valuable addition to KIS Group.

According to Wim Hermans, the official partnership is a logical continuation of the existing relationship: “Elmec has extensive knowledge of DEMAG products and is known for its flexibility and solution-oriented approach. Thanks to the large stock availability, both customers and service companies can be optimally supported. It was high time to officially formalize this cooperation.”
