The DEMAG double girder overhead travelling cranes are suitable for higher lifting capacities and a large span. Lifting capacities of 50 tons and more are possible and spans up to approx. 35 meters. Higher workloads and spans are of course also possible. These are then designed by us, in accordance with the requirements of your business process.

DEMAG double girder overhead travelling cranes consist of two crane girders, which are fitted with a head girder on both sides. The cranes have a favorable lifting height, because the load hook can be pulled up between the two crane girders. Is a little less lifting capacity enough? Our single girder overhead travelling cranes are also very energetic.

DEMAG has stood for high quality crane systems and hoists. The double girder overhead travelling cranes can be built modularly from DEMAG parts, so that we can use the crane for your specific situation. You can operate the cranes from the work floor by means of a pendant push button box that runs along the crane girder independently of the travel movement. At higher driving speeds, operation of the crane with a pendant push button box is practically impossible or even not allowed. These cranes can then be supplied with a radio remote control or crane cabin.

DOUBLE GIRDER V-type CRANE

In addition to the normal version, DEMAG now also has the double girder V-type crane. This crane has a revolutionary composite beam with an open structure. This results in a very low curb weight. This reduces the load on the crane track, allowing you to use a higher workload. In addition, the beam has a high light transmission; light from skylights or light fixtures is blocked less. With a double girder V-crane there is less shadowing on the floor.

LIFTING UNITS

Hoisting units of the electric wire rope hoist type DH and DMR are compact, robustly built lifting units. The modern lifting units are maintenance-friendly and subdivided into several FEM classes so that a technically and economically correct choice can be made, tailored to the intensity of use. The DW lifting unit is a modular winch for higher lifting capacities.

The steel construction of the cranes is according to DIN15018, lifting class 2, load group 3. Different load groups are possible on request. The main girders are designed as profile girders or welded box girders. There is a low-maintenance crane travel drive on each side of the crane, which drives a crane wheel directly, without a sprocket/pinion gear.

DRIVE DOUBLE-GIRDER OVERHEAD travelling CRANES

The DEMAG-motor with special starting and braking characteristics guarantees smooth starting and braking of the crane. The oscillation of the load is kept to a minimum by the motor. For cranes with greater lifting capacities and/or higher travel speeds, it may be advisable to provide the motors with a DEMAG frequency control. The frequency control provides more control over the movements and a longer service life of drives and wheels.
